Once we can recognize our sensitivities, this is where biology comes into play. We can recognize where we feel sensitive within our bodies, thereby recognizing our own vulnerabilities. Our vulnerabilities and our ability to protect ourselves allow us to stay present in the moment during stress responses. When we fail to do this, our body becomes overwhelmed and forces us to store that trauma away rather than releasing it.
